ANCHOR BARBECUE is operated for privacy purposes by ANCHOR BARBECUE LLC.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information the ANCHOR BARBECUE Android app uses, why it is used, where it is stored, and how a user can remove it.
Information Used When You Place an Order
The app uses the following customer-entered or order-related information:
- Full name — required to identify the order.
- Phone number — required as the order contact number.
- Pickup or delivery selection — required to determine the fulfillment method and payment option shown.
- Delivery address — required only when Delivery is selected.
- Notes or special instructions — optional.
- Selected menu items, quantities, and customizations — required as part of the order contents.
- Order total — calculated from the selected items and options.
- Payment method selection — required. The current app uses non-card methods such as Pay at Pickup or Cash on Delivery.
Other App Information Stored on the Device
The app also stores:
- Cart contents
- Favourite item identifiers
- Recently viewed item identifiers
- Order history records
Purpose of Use
This information is used only to run the in-app ordering flow, show the customer’s selections, complete the checkout process, and display past order records inside the app.
Storage and Transmission
The app stores the above information locally on the device using Android SharedPreferences.
The current version does not send order details or personal data to a restaurant backend, cloud database, analytics provider, advertising provider, payment gateway, or other external server.
What the App Does Not Collect
The app does not collect or store:
- Full card numbers
- CVV or CVC security codes
- Card PINs
- Online banking credentials
- Passwords or user-account login credentials
- Device location from GPS
- Camera, microphone, or photo/media data
Permissions
The current version does not require location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage/media permissions for its customer-facing features.
A delivery address, when needed, is typed manually by the user.
Third-Party Services
The current version does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, Firebase, sign-in systems, or a remote backend service.
Retention and Deletion
- Cart data remains until the customer removes items, places an order, clears app data, or uninstalls the app.
- Favourite and recent-item data remains until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
- Order history remains until the user clears app data, removes stored order records in the app, or uninstalls the app.
External Actions
The Contact Us screen can open the user’s email app only when the email action is tapped. Regular order placement does not require WhatsApp, SMS, or another external messaging app.
Children
The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without parent or guardian involvement.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app’s functionality changes. Any updated version should replace the previous policy distributed with the app.
